Prophecy!

Good morning,

Prophecy

A prophecy is a message inspired by God, a divine revelation. The Bible says that prophets “spoke from God as they were moved by holy spirit.” (2 Peter 1:20, 21

A friend asked me a question the other day about prophesies

Friend:- When we are given a prophecy how do we make sure it comes to pass

Me:- well it is not in our place to make them come to pass. But there are a few things I believe takes us to the promise land.

Before I go further in what I said I mentioned this example.

Example:- Two completely separate friends of mine whom are unlikely to cross paths were told they will be the president of a certain cabin same country one day.

When I look into their lives right now, especially one in particular, all his actions are far away from coming this prophecy coming to pass…

….Hmmmm

1 Corinthians 1:27, But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

Then I carried on to say…

…There are two things that aids us in making prophecies come to pass

1.) God gave us free will, so this free will can affect the results of the prophesies we have been given. Either it will completely abort the prophecy or just take longer. Which means we have to make sure we learn the lessons we are meant to along the way.

2.) Gods perfect will also determines the outcome of a prophecy. Which means no matter how we try to ruin it along the way, He manages to take us through.

What happens along the way to the prophecy is what determines if the prophesy will come to pass or it’s outcome.

Let’s read when God’s will is at work along a prophecy…

…Exodus 3:17, And I have promised to bring you up out of your misery in Egypt into the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites–a land flowing with milk and honey.’

When God gave the Israelites this prophecy, there was something that struck out to me in everything that happened on their journey…

There was a lot of disobedience from Moses and the people. This caused a less than 2 weeks journey to take 40years. There were not content and were in a hurry to attain the prophecy ( but you see God can not give you something you are not ready for).

Matthew 7:6, Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

Remember when a prophecy come, it is an urgent call to the battle ground, time for warfare.

Matt. 13:19-20, When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is the one who received seed beside the path”

When God gives a prophetic word, and you don’t understand he will confirm it through His servants. Prophecies can come through a word or even in a vision, which some people can miss interpret (read the accounts of Joseph’s dreams).

Our prayers should be

  1. Father Lord please lead me on the right path to this prophecy.
  2. May I not be blinded by the prophecy
  3. May I not use my own free will to abort this prophecy
  4. Above all, God’s perfect will be done.

This is for when it is not something positive. (Like a death or destruction, because remember not all prophecies are somethings sweet and beautiful. (“If all your prophet says is good all the time, question him or her”, by BDHM)

  1. Pray againist it if you don’t want it
  2. Pray for grace to deal with the prophecy when it comes.
  3. Above all pray that God’s perfect will be done.

But another important thing I want to remind you is DO NOT DEVELOP ITCHY EARS. WHATEVER A PROPHET IS TELLING YOU SHOULD EITHER BE A CONFIRMATION OF WHAT GOD HAS ALREADY TOLD YOU OR HE IS GENUINELY PROCLAIMING THE BLESSINGS OF GOD UPON YOU WHICH WILL COME TO PASS IF YOU BELIEVE AND IF IT IS GOD’s WILL.

Be blessed and have a fantastic day 😇🙏😘.
