The Voice of God

Good morning,

I believe and hope you have all had a great long Easter weekend. Back to reality 😁.

Today is also my King’s birthday. So grateful to be married to such a great anointed man. My best friend, My pastor, My shepherd.

I’m just going to share a little bit with you on a book I once read by BDHM called THE ART OF HEARING. This book changed my life…

There are many types of voices that affects the decisions we make, our outcome in life, and our reactions to things.

1 Corinthians 14:10, “There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification.”

BDHM went on to list the voices

“1~The voice of God ~

2~ The voice of the flesh ~

3~ The voice of the mind ~

4~ The voice of the devil ~

5~ The voice of a prophet ~

6~ The voice of your pastor ~

7~ The voice of your friends ~

8~ The voice of your parents ~

9~ The voice of your spirit ~

10~ The voice of your spouse ~

11~ The voice of circumstances ~

12~ The voice of your own will”

But the most important of all these voices is the voice of God. We have to make sure we are tuned to the right frequency and we can hear God’s voice very clearly.
BDHM went on to say why we need to hear God’s voice,
1. Depend on the voice of God for your needs.

Psalm 23:1, The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

Our needs means everything in life, whether being the choice of spouse, choice of career, choice of the church to attend and so on, and even choice on which battles to fight. We must put our ears to the ground and listen out for the best navigation systems (The Holy Spirit), on earth to be our guide.

God uses the voice of the Holy Spirit to help us, to direct our paths, to counsel us, remind us, keep us in check of all our sinful ways,

John 14:26, But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.

The voice of God is also his word. The ability to read the bible and find verses relating to our situation will keep us a step ahead. It will constantly keep Gods voice afresh in us, that when he speaks it will be audible.

A cardinal sign that indeed we are hearing God is when it shows through our fruits.

Galatians 5:22, But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

It is not only by how rich or famous we are, that shows that indeed we have heard God’s voice and we are walking according to His will.

Instead it should be by the show of our character. By the way we are allowing God to change us and work through. We have to walk the walk not just talk the walk.

Galatians 5:25, If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

By listening to God, we can become better followers of Christ and bring light to others around us.

It is much important than all the other things we expect to hear from God’s voice.

Matthew 5:16, Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

This is our ultimate goal my brethren. Let your fruits show in the fact that indeed you hear God and hear him clearly. If you hear him, you will win souls for him and turn the people’s heart towards him.that will be your desire as a child of God.

John 10:27, My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

Before I drop the pen. As I woke up this morning to blog. I shall do 2 quiet times. One from BDHM and the other the blog.

Today’s quiet by BDHM is so related to what I wanted to talk about. If you look at the picture below, you would see

So enjoy this piece as well. Be blessed and have a great week. 😇🙏😘
