The Whole Armour

Good morning,

I didn’t plan to post today, as I am starting work unusually early. But I managed to wake up early to do my quiet time. So I though I’d share that instead.

I pray my revelation blesses you.

The Whole Armour

Ephesians 6:10-18

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
11 Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13 Therefore, take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day and, having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having your loins girded about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness,

15 and your feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of peace.

16 Above all, take the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17 And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God,

18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.

I have heard this scripture so many times, but today the first thing I heard in my spirit was “Do You Know What The Armour Is”?

I thought to myself yes, but I have never really paid to much attention to it’s importance. So for those like me, here it goes…

Number 1,

Ephesians 6:14, 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girded about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness,

In this verse you have the Belt of Truth and Breastplate of Righteousness.

The belt is what keeps the whole amour together, so it is very important.

This is talking about the ability to be a honest, genuine and truthful Christian.

The devil is the ultimate liar, the moment a saint lacks the ability to be truthful God is unable to dwell in the saint.

Even little white lies count. When there is no truth in us, we are open to the treachery and trickery of the enemy.

Let us be watchful of telling lies. It brings down our amour, and makes us vulnerable.

John 8:44-45,44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

The Breastplate of Righteousness, this is talking about as saints, we have to try and live a righteous life. We know already that our ways are filthy, but we have to press on.

Christ already died for our sins, so we must walk in the believe that we the righteousness of God.

The more we pursue righteousness, the more we lack the ability to sin, and the more we receive the fruits of the Holy Spirit.

21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

And

Proverbs 21:21, Whoever pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honor.

And

1 Timothy 6:11, But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.

This is where I stop and will I continue tomorrow.

Be blessed and have a fruitful day 😇🙏😘
