Have you heard that saying “Not All That Gltters Is Gold”.
It’s amazing how you see a lady walking by you looking a million dollars, with her make up on point, hair on point, outfits on point, but do you ever stop and read between that smile she smiles at you.
Do you know if she was bitten last night?
Do you know if she ate last night?
Do you know if she is battling with spiritual things?
Do you know if she’s dying?
Do you know if she is an orphan?
Do you know if she is a widow?
Do you know if she’s terminally ill?
Do you know if she happy in life?
Do you know if she is actually a spiritual being?
Do you know if she’s a prostitute?
Do you know what her profession is?
You don’t know!!!
So when you see a woman walking by you with a smile on the face remember not all that glitters is gold.
Behind that smile lies so many unpredictable things than you could ever imagine,
Between that smile lies hatred.
Between that smile lies bitterness.
Between that smile lies joy.
Between that smile is someon broken.
Between the smile lies happiness.
Between that smile lies insecurities.
Between that smile lacks self confidence.
Between that smiles lies low self-esteem.
Between that smile lies someone who wants to commit suicide.
Between that smile lies someone full of regrets.
Between that smile lies someone content with her world.
She could be a wife, a mother, a child, a mistress, a friend.
All these are in our friend, our sisters, our neighbors, even in ourselves. The woman sat next to you on a bus, train at the GP’s, is going through something. Let’s learn to be more sensitive and accommodating to each other as women.
But instead we bully each other, gossip about each other, patronise each other, intimidate each other.
John 15:13, Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
Pray for the another woman in your life, pray for the woman who is next.
We all need a shoulder to lean on.
Let’s be each other’s keeper. Determine you’ll become a great friend, a great Christian woman, a great sister to the other woman around you. Being genuine cost nothing. Let’s be true to ourselves so that we can benefit greatly in strengthening our mental and emotional health as women.
Proverbs 18:24, A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.
Have a blessed day yours in the Lord…
