Am Sorry…πŸ™

Good morning,

I believe you all had a great weekend πŸ™πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘Œ. Am so tired I could sleep for days. But life goes on.

Topic:- Am Sorry!

This was not my original post. But as I started writing, this jumped into my heart. As usual I believe it’s for someone.

Be blessed and healed as you read. Amen!

Those two simple words AM SORRY! So easy to say but we don’t use it or don’t mean it when we say it.

Sorry means

A feeling of sadness, sympathy, or disappointment, especially because something unpleasant has happened or been done:

This means if you are really and truly sorry, you should feel these emotions listed. When you feel sorry you should feel bad about the situation.

Hence the question ARE YOU REALLY SORRY???

An example of what someone who is sorry looks like!

Read 2 Samuel 12:1-13

13a, Then David said to Nathan, β€œI have sinned against the Lord.”

If you read up to verse 12, you would have seen what happened that caused David to be remorseful of his sins. He immediately repented and asked for forgiveness.

When you are repentant something else happens.

1.) Judgment will be proclaimed

2 Samuel 12:13b-14, Nathan replied, β€œThe Lord has taken away your sin. You are not going to die. 14 But because by doing this you have shown utter contempt for[a] the Lord, the son born to you will die.”

But because you are repentant,

2.) The Lord will still show his mercy

2 Samuel 12:24, Then David comforted his wife Bathsheba, and he went to her and made love to her. She gave birth to a son, and they named him Solomon. The Lord loved him; 25 and because the Lord loved him, he sent word through Nathan the prophet to name him Jedidiah.

Being sorry doesn’t make you a fool, if you’ve done wrong be repentant, yes judgment will still be proclaimed but God will have mercy and reduce the judgment and you will be rewarded for your repentance.

When you hurt or offend someone, don’t let pride get in the way of a sincere apology. It shows spiritual growth and maturity.

Don’t also justify your actions, now that’s the part I dislike the most, it shows you are not truly repentant. As believers we have to let out ways be Christ like. Look up examples in the bible on how people handled situations.

I always seek my spiritual mothers opinion concerning every woman issue before I react, because I don’t want to make the situation worse.

Let’s humble ourselves so that God can lift us up. LEARN TO SAY SORRY. It wouldn’t and doesn’t hurt!

By the way I just realised that Solomon was also called Jedidiah, which means “Beloved of the Lord”. I never knew that until I did this topical study.

2 Samuel 12:25 and because the Lord loved him, he sent word through Nathan the prophet to name him Jedidiah
