Good morning,

Ok back to this one word thing!

As soon as I saw the word quicken then I thought of this scripture.

John 6:63, It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

So I am doing my quiet time on this scripture today.

The word Quicken means

1. make or become faster or quicker:

speed up, accelerate, step up, hasten, hurry (up)

2. spring to life; become animated:

stimulate, excite, arouse, rouse, stir up, …

I really like this second one that says to “spring to life”.

Springing to life means for something to suddenly, rapidly (etc.) happen or occur.

Am still not completely awake as I write, hope I don’t make too much blunders today lol 😂.
I have some things in my life right now that I need some quickening in (I don’t know about you) and from this scripture I feel like the lord is telling me that I can’t do anything with my human power. It is the spirit of the lord that is upon me, who will aid me in all my endeavours.

Which leads to another scripture  I remembered…

Zechariah 4:6, Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.

In the first scripture Jesus was saying that His words (the bible) is a spirit that can come alive in us. So which means it is His word which if we read it to edify ourselves, is the word that will bring us to life (quicken us).

So I guess we have to be diligent in studying the word, as Christians if we don’t have the word then we don’t have the right medication for our terminal spiritual sicknesses.

It is the word that will encourage

It is the word that will bring about healing

It is the word that will spring us back to life

It is the word that will restore, replace, reaffirm, the will of God in our lives.

I’ve read this scripture and preached to on it, but am glad to have also gotten my own revelation.

I believe today I am receiving an acceleration in every area in my life, receive yours. Amen.

I am stepping up, my level is changing for the better in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen…😇🙏

You have a blessed and spirit filled day. Till we meet again 😘😘

Faking it.

Good morning,

Didn’t make it yesterday, I was really tired after a long weekend. Though all I was thinking off was to wake up and write, I was just too tired I slept in.

I believe God is still keeping us and opening all our eyes in seeing our wrongs and giving us the grace to be better.

My topic today is Faking It

Proverbs 6:16-20

There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers. My son, keep your father’s commandment, and forsake not your mother’s teaching.

You know that time when you know you can’t stand someone and you end up faking it when you are around them.

You know when you haven’t even prayed for a week but you go amongst people and acting like you’ve been fasting and praying for 40 days.

That time you are with unbelievers but you laugh and joke with them because you don’t want them to realise how serious of a Christian you are.

You know when you are amongst friends and they are shopping but you lie that you left your card at home and only have a little cash so they don’t know you’re broke.

Well I believe there are other ways rather than faking it. You can genuinely in your heart move on and be normal without pretending.

Faking who you are to please others is such a chore.

You can also be honest with people when you have problems. I have this saying that…

“I will say it to every ear that can hear, I never know who is capable of helping”.

Being honest and genuine is such a difficult thing to do. We believes and followers of Christ are the worst.

Like this morning as I wanted to write. I didn’t know what to write and I was running out of time. Then I heard a voice say, “just make something up”. But then as I was praying during my very quick and short quiet time, I asked the lord what to write and then I realised in that moment I would write about how I felt this morning.

I could have thought of something so extravagant. But when I haven’t been given the go ahead about certain topics, I just put it in my drafts till it comes back to me.

But you see, if I just make up something for the sake of writing everyday, it will defeat and go against the whole point of me starting this blog. Which is to give you the honest and biblical truth about any topic that crosses my mind.

I have to go now. Really running late this morning.

Let’s be real…No more FakingIt, BeReal, HonestyIsTheBestPolicy 😊😊😊

Let us let go of pretentious behaviours, learn to speak the truth.

John 8:32, And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Be blessed and remain free from FAKING IT!

You Have Purpose.

Good morning,

We all have a purpose in life at every level and at every stage we are in.

Proverbs 20:5, “The purposes of a person’s heart are deep waters, but one who has insight draws them out”.

Purpose means…

the reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists.

synonyms: motive, motivation, grounds, cause, impetus, occasion, reason, point, basis, justification More

2. a person’s sense of resolve or determination.

drive, push, enthusiasm, ambition, initiative, motivation, commitment, dedication;

So I’ve been wondering what women who are stay at home mothers go through. I have seen various types and I’ve realised that different people yield different results.

It’s not easy to be a stay at home mum, you take the kids to school in the morning, have the afternoon to clean and cook if you do so everyday, then back to pick them up at 3.15pm. Then back home to take off your uniform, wash your hands, don’t do this don’t do that.

Mine are about to start that life in the next 7 months and am freaking out. I am also in full time employment and work for myself.

I have never had the pleasure in staying at home for no more than 2 weeks. I go back to work after 2 weeks of giving birth, (not healthy I promise you).

Anyone wants to share their experience with me on staying at home and how do you remain sane and have a purpose. Please comment below.

One thing that worries to me, is how do you still a Have a Purpose?

I know a lady who staying at home was her biggest nightmare. She ran out of money by 6 months, when she asks hubby for money, he doesn’t understand why she’ll need it. She still needed to look after her self.

Things like going to the salon, new cloths for occasions and a little treat here and there.

At a point she felt she had no other purpose in life that to be a mother to those 3 children.

Some will say that should satisfy her. But is that all a stay at home mothers purpose should be.

I know some who tapped into their inner skills or learnt new skills while mothering. Thus still gave them a purpose in life and as a person.

Doing things like baking, make up, designing etc.

I believe there is always a need to satisfy your personal needs at every stage in life. It will keep you sane and I believe it will make you know you have a purpose in life other than what you already have to do in your daily life (like working, being a wife, and mothering).

Job was encouraged about his purpose knowing Gods plan never fails…

Job 42:2, “I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted”.

If you don’t have a purpose in life, start looking for it. It will satisfy you!

I really would love to hear what you or someone you know did in that time.

Please don’t forget to leave your comments below it doesn’t require your details if you don’t want to.

Stay blessed!

Good morning,

Am so eager to tell you this…

So yesterday evening at our weekday service, my pastor was preaching on Steps To The Anointing by BDHM, Chapter 9. Skipping to the bit that hit me. BDHM wrote that “Persecution makes you either bitter or better. It brings out the best in you or the worst in you”.

Then I remembered a certain situation I went through some years back and while I was going through that particular persecution, on the fifth year, I remember God telling me…“I am using this persecution to prepare you”.

I didn’t understand nor see where or what God could have been talking about. But less than 3-6months later, (by this time I had accepted what God’s plan was), it started to unfold and is still unfolding.

I was initially bitter, guess lack of knowledge and understanding…

Hosea 4: 6, My people perish from a lack of knowledge.

But when you ask God to enlighten you, and open your eyes to see why you are going through the persecution, it will make the burden or cross easier to carry.

Another scripture BDHM mentioned is…

Deuteronomy 8:2, “And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or not.

Even the Israelites had to go through persecutions in order to inherit the promise land.

My pastor went on to say, that the ability to remain humble while going through persecutions, is what will bring you out safely and into a greater calling and anointing.

What doesn’t break you, will make you stronger.

I pray for you today, that anyone or anything standing in your way, persecuting you, shall be removed and cast away in Jesus name.

You shall learn that which is the reason why you are going through this persecution,in Jesus name.

God shall give you the grace to endure the persecution, and the ability to believe it is a greater door and anointing awaiting you in Jesus name.

Be blessed and have a hopeful and merciful day.

Good morning,

So am following this one word post thing and it’s helping  with some revelations.

Psalm 27:5,

For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle; In the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock.

Meaning of Hideout…

It’s a hiding place, especially one used by someone who has broken the law.

When I saw the word I decided to look up what it meant and this part jumped at me, “someone who has broken the law”.

Then I thought to myself where? is my hiding place. Where? do i run to when I have broken the law (overcomed with sin and troubles of life).

Who is my refuge, who hides me under their  might wings, who lays down their life so I can be saved from the wiles of the enemy.

Proverbs 18:10, The name of the LORD is a strong tower; The righteous runs into it and is safe.

You know in the movies when they show a couple protecting a friend who they’ve locked up in the basement and lied to the bad guys that he isn’t there. And the bad guy knows that the man is definitely there and they are buying time for him to escape.

As Christian’s the person who does that for us is our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Lord promises…

Psalm 91:4-6, He will cover you with His pinions, And under His wings you may seek refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark. You will not be afraid of the terror by night, Or of the arrow that flies by day; Of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, Or of the destruction that lays waste at noon.

If you are weary, lonely, sad, unwanted, unappreciated, dismayed, neglected, separated, rejected and all other things you can list, remember we have a hiding place.
A safe house in the bosom of our lord Jesus Christ.

He promises never to leave nor forsake you. Am speaking to myself right now. I think this word is for me. Hmm 😇💡

Deuteronomy 31:6, Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Thank you Jesus for reassuring me of your word. I stand firm and in believe your perfect will be done. Amen!

Be still…

I leave you with my favourite praise song. With You by Hillsong

Glitter 💎💎💎💎

Good morning,

Have you heard that saying “Not All That Gltters Is Gold”.

It’s amazing how you see a lady walking by you looking a million dollars, with her make up on point, hair on point, outfits on point, but do you ever stop and read between that smile she smiles at you.

Do you know if she was bitten last night?

Do you know if she ate last night?

Do you know if she is battling with spiritual things?

Do you know if she’s dying?

Do you know if she is an orphan?

Do you know if she is a widow?

Do you know if she’s terminally ill?

Do you know if she happy in life?

Do you know if she is actually a spiritual being?

Do you know if she’s a prostitute?

Do you know what her profession is?

You don’t know!!!

So when you see a woman walking by you with a smile on the face remember not all that glitters is gold.

Behind that smile lies so many unpredictable things than you could ever imagine,

Between that smile lies hatred.

Between that smile lies bitterness.

Between that smile lies joy.

Between that smile is someon broken.

Between the smile lies happiness.

Between that smile lies insecurities.

Between that smile lacks self confidence.

Between that smiles lies low self-esteem.

Between that smile lies someone who wants to commit suicide.

Between that smile lies someone full of regrets.

Between that smile lies someone content with her world.

She could be a wife, a mother, a child, a mistress, a friend.

All these are in our friend, our sisters, our neighbors, even in ourselves. The woman sat next to you on a bus, train at the GP’s, is going through something. Let’s learn to be more sensitive and accommodating to each other as women.

But instead we bully each other, gossip about each other, patronise each other, intimidate each other.

John 15:13, Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Pray for the another woman in your life, pray for the woman who is next.

We all need a shoulder to lean on.

Let’s be each other’s keeper. Determine you’ll become a great friend, a great Christian woman, a great sister to the other woman around you. Being genuine cost nothing. Let’s be true to ourselves so that we can benefit greatly in strengthening our mental and emotional health as women.

Proverbs 18:24, A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

Have a blessed day yours in the Lord…

Being Rejected #rejected #unwanted

Good morning,

Hope you had a good week? Yesterday (Sunday), was great. Spent quality time with those I love after church. When people are genuinely friends, race, colour, sex, spiritual believes and not even background can ruin a genuine two way relationship. That’s not my topic for today. WAS JUST SAYING!!!

I don’t know what today’s title is yet so will keep writing and see what I call it.

I saw this clip the other day and I remembered when I went through this similar issue.

She’s My Home

Wasn’t that emotional. Hmmmm. I have been in thier shoes before. My now mother inlaw had  also rejected me. (That will be my title).

I remember not seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. It is a difficult cross to carry when you have to go through something like this.

I wasn’t Ghanaian enough

If you love him, you’ll let him work for five years before he gets married.

If he marries you, you will keep him away from me.

She gave all sorts of excuses.

I remembered once kneeling at her feet for hours while she gave me reasons why her son cannot marry me.

I didn’t understand. I held on to his promise that he loves me and was not going anywhere. My parents encouraged us and my dad always said, “Don’t worry as long as you both know what you are doing and get it right everyone else will have no choice than to follow”.

I had heard BDHM talk about people who disobeyed parents wishes and got married. On two separate occasions one of them died and in the other both of them died. I was afraid.

In my eyes I didn’t do anything wrong, but you see it could be because of that initial disobedience that has delayed some things in our marriage. We will never know.

But am greatful to God that she’s on the same page with us now. She even now wants to do the proper asking of my hand in marriage. Thank God for his mercies.

Dont ask me what you can do in this situation because my response is to PRAY. Pray that God will teach you and lead you into the right decisions. My way might not have been the right way though it yielded results after nearly 8years in total.

For all I know in the spirit till the day she actually met My parents again and they all agreed she has accepted me was when God recognised that we are actually married. Hmmm.

But one thing we did was to ask for forgiveness from both God and mum inlaw.

Before you say I didn’t give you a scripture lol 😊. If you are going through this or know someone who is.

This scripture should be your prayer topic. So whomever you need their heart changed, may it be changed in Jesus name.

Proverbs 21:1, The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.

It is well and remain blessed.
