The Other Woman.

Good morning,

The other woman…the pretender

The other woman…the gossiper

The other woman…filled with jealousy

The other woman…the accuser

The other woman…the cheat

The other woman…the thief

The other woman…the abuser

The other woman…the criticiser

The other woman…filled with envy

The other woman…the betrayer

The other woman…the controller

The other woman…the bully

The other woman…filled with greed

The other woman…the selfish one

There are so many so called SISTERS, FRIENDS, MOTHERS, COLLEAGUES, BOSSES who fit into these category.

Everyone knows or has a friend or a sister, an aunt, mother, boss, colleague, in their life that fits these bill.

Most of the times we are not even aware that they have such behaviours.

And yes they can all be found in the churches too. These days going to church is more of a duty than actually working on your spiritual strength.

If you look at that story of King Solomon and the two women….

1 Kings 3:16-18 One day two women[a] came to King Solomon, and one of them said: Your Majesty, this woman and I live in the same house. Not long ago my baby was born at home, and three days later her baby was born. Nobody else was there with us.

It even said they lived in the same house, which means they might have been either sisters or wives to the same man.

After having their babies one’s baby dies, look at what happens next.

1 Kings 3:19-20 One night while we were all asleep, she rolled over on her baby, and he died. 20 Then while I was still asleep, she got up and took my son out of my bed. She put him in her bed, then she put her dead baby next to me.

What a woman, she wasn’t even thinking of the pain she was going through. All she wanted was to have a healthy and alive baby, in this case another woman’s baby since hers was dead.

Skipping through (you can go and read the full story to get better revelations)

1 Kings 3:25-26, A sword was brought, and Solomon ordered, “Cut the baby in half! That way each of you can have part of him.”

“Please don’t kill my son,” the baby’s mother screamed. “Your Majesty, I love him very much, but give him to her. Just don’t kill him.”

The other woman shouted, “Go ahead and cut him in half. Then neither of us will have the baby.” Women have become more cantankerous towards each other. We are our own worst enemy.

The other woman was ready for neither both of them to keep the baby if she couldn’t have the baby. A typical behaviour of a woman. When we can’t have something no one else can.

Look at how greedy, selfish and envious she was of the other woman.

My baby is prettier than yours

My husband has a better job

My wedding ring is bigger than yours

My house is much nicer

I am more educated than you…and so on…

We don’t SUPPORT each other when the other woman is achieving or trying to do something great. We don’t tell each other the truth. Instead we talk behind each others backs, bringing each other down.

We form cliques and exclude other women. We are in constant competition with each other, becoming physiological bullies.

When you see another woman who is your friend, sister and so on doing something, SUPPORT her. Don’t let it be a topic for gossip. Be proud of your fellow women.

Encourage them and lift them up with words of positivity.

Don’t we have enough issues in the world to deal with than to remain in this cruel bubble.

Proverbs 27:17, As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.

Be blessed as we walk in love. ❤️😇🙏

I’ll just like to ask this: What do you do when you find yourself at the receiving end of the other woman. You’re the the subject of envy and gossip simply because you refuse to join their cliques and do ‘eye service’ like them. What to do? This is what I’ve tried: be civil, ignore, move on. But then there’s name calling in your face
