Nothing wrong with a little PDA!

Good morning,

Proverbs 7:18, Come, let’s drink deeply of love till morning;

         let’s enjoy ourselves with love

Last night I came across a video of Barack Obama constantly cheering on his wife, and vice versa.

Barack and Michelle Obama

A thought came into my mind that they are a good example to follow. They are constantly showing love and praising each other in public and it’s a good thing that married couples need to adapt.

(NB: Just because am talking about their outward look doesn’t mean I can vouch for their marriage).

Let’s take a look at a biblical example

Esther 1:10-11, On the seventh day, when the heart of the king was merry with wine, he commanded Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha, Abagtha, Zethar and Carkas, the seven eunuchs who served in the presence of King Ahasuerus, 11to bring Queen Vashti before the king with her royal crown in order to display her beauty to the people and the princes, for she was beautiful.

All the king wanted to do was to show off his beautiful queen. Can you be exalted without it getting to your head. Some say they don’t like PDA (Public Display of Affection). But all these things are what makes a marriage sweet.

Many of us work and have supervisors and managers, and in your various jobs, you get appraised. When this happens and it’s a good report and especially when done in public you are proud aren’t you? Married couples all need to do this in private and in public.

People must see you and admire what you have. They must see joy, love, excitement and the blessings of God upon your marriage.

Not the car you’re driving, the expensive fashionable cloths you wear or how beautiful you look as a couple/family (A1 Family).

That doesn’t show us that you are happy or content in your marriage. Let the genuine love flow and come out naturally.

By our actions, may we not be the reason someone makes the wrong decision in their marriage, because of the outward look, that can create a false impression or in us giving someone bad advice.

1 John 4:18, There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear [a]involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.

Be a good example for others to flow and admire, enjoy each other because there is…..

“Nothing wrong with a little PDA”.

Be blessed.

    1. I’ve read your blog. I understand where you’re coming from. I wasn’t talking about serious “caressing, canoodling, snuggling and certainly no tongues in public”. I wouldn’t want to see that either. Just that married couples should learn to hold hands, little kiss and cuddle wouldn’t hurt. 😊
