Speak Now or Forever Hold Your Peace!

Good morning,

How I need more sleep, adult life uhn!

So a thought has been running through my mind. I finally have confirmation to talk about it.

A certain lady from what it seems to me is in a one way relationship, not yet married. From what am seeing it’s not going to work out.
I always say any relationship that broke up more than once it’s doomed from the start. Once, you can accept but more than once there is a problem.

“It takes great maturity to spill the beans about your past”.

Ecclesiastes 3:7 A time to tear and a time to mend. A time to be quiet and a time to speak.

A friend visited during the Christmas and a certain comment was passed relating to my past. She was shocked when I told her I had told my husband.

There is a saying that says:

“You can hide your body from the person that’s going to busy you”.
How can you be in a relationship and have secrets? One way or the other it will come back.

“Every day is for the thief, one day for the owner”.

And scripture also says,

Mark 4:22 For everything that is hidden will eventually be brought into the open, and every secret will be brought to light.

Secrets ruins marriages, bare it all out before you take those vows.

When the officiator says

“Should anyone here present know of any reason that this couple should not be joined in holy matrimony, speak now or forever hold your peace”

I think it should also include the couple, it is your last chance to bring it all out.

Some people are privileged to go to counselling, which I highly recommend and depending on your church rules, you can bare it all out there and allow your counsellor to help to both decide if you can move on with the secrets or break it off right there and then.

You can keep secrets from human beings but what about God.

Psalm 44:21 Wouldn’t God find out, since he knows the secrets in our hearts?

I know it’s scary, but don’t be hunted by your past, the fact that you are able to talk about it to the person you are going to spend the rest of your life with means a lot.

1.) How they react shows they are genuine

2.) It bring healing to your soul.

3.) You are catching the snake before it turns into a great dragon.

Your prayer as long as you’ve repented is…,

1.) May they be able to move on

2.) May they not use it to hunt you (I’ve seen that happen)

Most of all the best scenario will be in what it says in

James 5:16, Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Have faith that it will be well. Be blessed!
