Godly Marriage Living (Part B)

Good morning.

The second part to this post relates to this scripture

1 peter 3:7, Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

It is always so obvious to talk about a woman and how she needs to be good and proper, respectful and all in order to keep her home.

But what about the man. This scripture clearly states that men know we are the weaker vessel and are subjected to sensitive feelings and all, they must dwell with women in wisdom.

So a man who doesn’t treat his wife rightly, his prayers will be hindered.

This can be very obvious in some men’s life. They just keep hitting rock bottom, things don’t work out as they wished or they lack something great in life.

Check yourselves, are you being a good husband. Maybe your wife has stopped praying for you because she is troubled by you.

When a woman is wounded at heart, it can result her giving up and she’ll develop a lot resentment, hatred, disgust, and this will causes a man to loose his family.

Seek for forgiveness and repent so that all may be well.

James 5:16, Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Conclusion

Work on yourself, be true that you are not a good wife or husband. Ask God for guidance and get counselling from a pastor.

Many Christians are failing  to fulfill their responsibility and calling as a married couple. The divorce rate among Christians is just a little different from non-Christians.

Have we abandoned the God side of marriage. We have forgotten the purpose, the institute of marriage and have we stopped applying the word to any problems we face in mariiage.

The fundamentals of marriage is meant to be an example of our relationship with God. Now adays we have left the spiritual side of marriage. Pride has taken over, no one is ready to play the fool.

I would rather say “Am Sorry” and have peace rather than remain in upset.

If you can’t work out your marital issues with the fear of the Lord, then ask yourself if you are truly in Christ Jesus. Is that what the teachings of Christ is about.

So men treat your wives well so your prayers maybe answered. Women treat you hasband well so God can get through to him for your sake.

And remember…

Luke 17:1, Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!

I believe strongly that on the judgement day we will be judge also about how me treated each other as a married couple.

Philippians 2:12, Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Be blessed.
